Gold Hawk Resources Inc. (TSX-V:CGK) is a Canada-based precious metals company with a near-term production project at the Coricancha Mine located 90kms east of Lima, Peru.

The Coricancha Mine includes a 600 tonnes per day ore processing facility, a fully developed underground mine and reserves and resources containing gold, silver, lead, zinc and copper. On January 7, 2009 the Company received its final permit to construct a new permanent tailings facility at Chinchan and has all of the other permits required for the re-start of the mine. On March 31, 2009 the Company provided an update to its mineral resources and reserve estimates in a NI 43-101 compliant Technical Report. Please see SEDAR.com to review the report.

It is management's intention to grow Gold Hawk into a mid-tier precious metal producer by:
  1. Obtaining financing to restart operations and expand production of the Coricancha Mine
  2. Exploring the lower extension of the Constancia Vein at 3140 metre Level
  3. Acquiring additional producing or advanced stage projects
The Company operated the Coricancha production facility from June 2007 to May 2008, when ground displacement caused by a third-party irrigation system was detected by the Company and prompted management to suspend activity until the site was stabilized. Following the Company's quick mitigation efforts and the suspension of irrigation, the ground displacement ceased in July 2008.

Gold Hawk is based in Vancouver, Canada and is operated by an experienced management team. Gold Hawk and its wholly owned subsidiary, Compañía Minera San Juan (Peru) S.A. also have exploration properties in Peru and Canada (Quebec).
